Fulham boss Silva braced for "difficult" Preston clash in huge midweek Cup tie
Fulham boss Marco Silva is expecting a "difficult" clash against Championship high-flyers Preston North End in their Carabao Cup third-round tie on Tuesday.
The Cottagers, who were relegated from the Premier League last season, will be looking to bounce back from their 4-1 defeat to Sunderland in the Championship on Saturday.
Silva is wary of the threat posed by Preston, who are currently sixth in the Championship table and have won their last three matches.
"Preston are a good team," said Silva. "They are well-organised and they have some good players. It will be a difficult game for us, but we are confident that we can get a result."
Fulham will be without injured trio Tom Cairney, Neeskens Kebano and Manor Solomon for the clash at Deepdale.
Silva is likely to make changes to his team, with the likes of Shane Duffy, Nathaniel Chalobah and Harry Wilson pushing for starts.
